Alliance AutoGas Launches Alternative Fuel Platform
Asheville, North Carolina (PRWEB) June 3, 2009 -- Americans are calling for a vehicle fuel that reduces dependence on foreign oil, lowers fuel costs and produces fewer emissions that pollute the environment. Alliance AutoGas answers to all of those demands with a solution that can be implemented right away - in fact, the solution is already working from Detroit to Denver to Washington, D.C.
Alliance AutoGas converts vehicles from gasoline to clean-burning propane AutoGas, implements refueling sites at fleet home bases, supplies the fuel and provides safety training, operational training and ongoing technical support. It's a truly turn-key solution that has fleet managers across the country committing to use a clean, domestically produced alternative fuel that is here now.
Alliance AutoGas was formed by founding partners American Alternative Fuel and Blossman Gas, Inc. to bring America's vehicle fleets an integrated chain of clean vehicle conversion, fueling and support.
In the years before its launch, the founding partners of Alliance AutoGas identified a need in the alternative fuel vehicle marketplace for a complete solution. Some companies provide just alternative fuel vehicles, some just vehicle conversions or just fueling solutions. Fleet managers need a partner who can provide the hardware and labor required to convert fleets in the short term, but they also need an on-site fueling dispenser, ongoing fuel supply with a guarantee of competitive pricing, the critical safety and operational training for their employees and of course the ongoing technical support that is so important to keeping high-performance clean fleets optimized and on the road.
Propane AutoGas is the third most common vehicle fuel in the U.S. (after gasoline and diesel) and is the world's most widely used alternative vehicle fuel, with over 10-million AutoGas vehicles worldwide. A test on a 2008 Honda Accord comparing emissions when burning gasoline to emissions when using the Prins VSI System (the AutoGas Hybrid conversion system used by Alliance AutoGas) revealed significant reductions in harmful emissions, specifically a 28% reduction in Carbon Monoxide, a 35.6% reduction in Hydrocarbons, a 3.7% reduction in NOx and a 16% reduction in CO2.
Technologies to develop AutoGas vehicles that are compliant with EPA regulations have been developed only recently, so the U.S. population has overlooked AutoGas as a viable alternative fuel for years. Now that the technology has caught up, AutoGas is ready to assert its place as the alternative vehicle platform that is cleaner and less expensive than gasoline with a fueling infrastructure more mature than any other alternative fuel.
The price of AutoGas is historically much more stable and typically much less expensive than the price of gasoline. To enhance the cost savings, Alliance AutoGas passes the 50-cent per gallon federal tax credit to private fleet customers at the time of invoice, so they never have to apply for the credit themselves.
Alliance AutoGas is proud to offer the only vertically integrated chain of propane AutoGas Hybrid vehicle conversion, fueling and support. More information is available at www.allianceautogas.com.
